“’m Lt. Colonel E. Savage. I have been with UHP for almost 2 full years. I am a UT resident IRL and have a great joy in participating and RP’ing with departments I see on a daily basis. Even being able to meet and talk with other IRL residents. I have been playing FiveM for appx 5 years and have enjoyed almost every moment of it. I have worked my way into leadership spots very quickly through all the servers I have been a part of. I have usually drawn myself towards the highway departments. Generally the biggest and the best. I have run departments both as the main guy but also as a regular member of a high command team. Through my time here in UTSRP. I have made my way now twice to the Lt. Colonel spot within UHP. Also taking over as Sheriff of SLC county. During both my times in UHP I have run different sub-divisions and even assisted in introducing some to the department. I oversaw the opening of DNR, the re-opening of STEP (traffic units), assisted in the opening of the IA portion of the department under Colonel Beitz, and many others from UHP and SLCSO. Outside of UTSRP you’ll find me spending time with family and friends, watching college football, or just hanging out maybe watching a movie or tv show. I am currently in the process of opening a business and possibly also working towards joining the UHP IRL. (TBD).”

I have six months of experience within this department and have gained a strong understanding of its operations. I am confident in my knowledge and stand by what I say when I speak. Our call to duty is unconditional and unconditional. Our call to duty is constant. Our call to duty may be for routine or high-pressure operations. Nevertheless, we discharge our call to duty at the same level of focus, control, and commitment. I demand my Troopers to wear their uniform with pride because their uniform demands nothing less. I operate with purpose. I operate with fairness. I operate with authority. And this I owe to our citizenry: to respond to a situation. But I operate to lead in a situation if the situation calls for leadership. I operate to be decisive if the situation calls for decisiveness. This is not just a job for me. This is my responsibility. “I am grateful to serve as a Major with the Utah Highway Patrol, with my focus centered on patrol operations, professional standards, and proactive traffic enforcement. In addition to more than ten years of total law enforcement experience, I have served with the Utah Highway Patrol for over eight months. I have progressed through the ranks from Cadet to High Command, gaining firsthand experience with the responsibilities and expectations associated with each level of the agency. Throughout that time, I have had the opportunity to develop extensive experience in patrol operations, leadership, and department management. Traffic enforcement has been a particular area of interest throughout my career. I previously served as the head of the Specialized Traffic Enforcement Program for over three months, where I was responsible for overseeing the program, directing its personnel, and maintaining standards for traffic enforcement within the Highway Patrol. My time leading S.T.E.P. gave me valuable experience organizing operations and developing policy centered around traffic safety initiatives and specialized enforcement. My approach to leadership overall has been shaped by more than a decade of experience in law enforcement. Over the course of my career, I have served in a variety of patrol and leadership positions, giving me the opportunity to work with personnel at many different levels. To me, leadership is not defined by authority, but by the ability to work alongside others and earn their trust. I believe those in leadership should be held to the same, if not higher, standards that they expect from those they supervise. My goal as a member of the agency’s command staff is to ensure the agency operates efficiently, professionally, and with respect for all Utahns. The safety and well-being of our troopers remain one of my highest priorities. Every member of this agency should have confidence that their leadership will support them, hold them accountable, and provide guidance when needed.
